Extra Frames: The Rest of the LUX

After weeks of laziness, I finally scanned some Widelux F7 negatives I made over the past month or so. There's some photos of the State-Line house, some of Seattle, and some of the Ren Faire. There's a few scans here that I like, and may make prints of sometime. Take a peek!

Roll: Seattle & Portland

Last week, I took a trip to the west coast to visit Seattle and Portland with my wife, brother-in-law, and mother-in-law. We did all sorts or touristy stuff: In Seattle, we shopped at Pike Place Market, learned about all things pop-culture at the EMP museum, and took in the amazing view from the top of the Space Needle. In Portland, we took a great bike tour and checked out Powell's Books, the coolest and largest book store I've ever seen.

Though I'm usually doing touristy activities while on vacation, I always try to take non-touristy photographs. This time I took along my Pentax LX, and shot solely with my 50mm f/1.4. I used Ilford Delta 400 film. Take a look!

I really like the Pacific Northwest. The weather is much milder and the scenery is way more interesting than Chicago. It'd definitely be a cool place to live someday.

Thanks for looking!

Print: The State-Line Lounge (Part 2)

Last week I went back to the State-Line house near Harvard, Illinois, this time with my brother-in-law, Aaron. I was able to re-shoot the armchair you see above. I thought I had a nice negative of it from my first trip, but when I went to make a print, I saw that my camera bag was in the shot! This time I made sure to keep my bag faaaaaar away from the subject. I used my Mamiya C330 with a 55mm lens, on Kodak T-Max 400. The physical print is 11"x14".
